Juan Dixon traded for Primoz Brezec.
Expiring for expiring. Hope Primoz can bring some hustle in a contract year. Hasn’t done much this year for the Pistons, but neither did Delfino.
This pales in comparison, in true Canadian fashion, to the “other” big trade:
Cleveland gets: Ben Wallace, Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, Joe Smith, future second rounder
Seattle gets: Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall, Adrian Griffin
Chicago gets: Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, Cedric Simmons, Shannon Brown.
Granville is currently saving up for his 2007/08 playoff tickets.

Whoah. Not what I was expecting …
me neither, errr…if wallace is rejuvenated, and wally scores 20/game, like he is capable of, this could be a good trade for cleveland, really expensive, but good.
I feel like Charlton Heston seeing the Statue of Liberty poking out of the beach. Larry Hughes. My God. My dear, sweet Jesus. Holy hell. I haven’t felt this way since the last time I was sucker punched in the testicles (aka, yesterday).
Is Brezec restricted?
Nah, he’s unrestricted. Incredibly, this is the second or third contract of his sleepy career.
hahahahaa…
oh man….
Granville, you need a radio show. Seriously. It might have to be on a pirate station listened to by hippies, but Jesus…
sorry…just re-read it again…my testicles hurt from laughter. What are the symptoms of a hernia again?
Scott, don’t feed Gran’s already-inflated ego.
(thinking about changing my name to Granville the Ultramagnificent)
You know, for such a great mastermind, you have to wonder if Larry Hughes was available, why didn’t Colangelo make a play for this guy?
Baffling.
I think theyre were better deals but if you want Hughes how about something like him and Newble for Kapono, TJ and Garbajosa? TJ should have been dealt way before he got hit by Horford. Even still Hughes is almost as injury prone and more expensive, but would be decent as a 6th man backing up the 1 and 2.
Clevland want shooting and that’s Kapono and needed help at point, through TJ.
Newble plays some D for the Raps playoff run and then his contact comes off. Don’t know where Garbo fits in anymore. Risky with TJ but a better result with TJ, Lebron, Kapono, Gooden big Z starting 5.
Seems like a missed opportunity anyways…Raps got lots of good, not great pieces, that they could have turned into something.
Cleveland did mess up their cap with that trade and I’m glad BC didn’t do something crazy like that. But he could’ve done much better, I’d have taken Kurt Thomas, Francisco Elson or Reggie Evans any day over Brezec, they were all available.
There was talk about Elson for Dixon on other boards. But why would San Antonio want Dixon?
Granville, your comment about Charleton Heston was hilarious!
