Bargnani – Only 13 mins of play, and that says a lot in this game. He seemed very disinterested and, quite frankly, didn’t look like he cared to be out there.
Baston – Call me a fool, but yet again I was happy with what he did. Any guy who hasn’t seen the floor that much that still looks like he knows what he is doing is impressive to me. Not only did it look like he was running plays, he actually put up 6 points and 6 boards, along with 2 dimes. Not bad for 13 minutes. Seriously. Time to let him learn his paycheque.
Brezec – So, um. yeah. Pretty impressive of you for yipping at the ref with a minute left in a blowout looking for a ticky tack foul. Get a life.
Calderon – Mediocre at best. Maybe somebody told him his current NBA team is suing his country. 4pts 7 asts, 4 turnovers. I still say he looks gassed more than disinterested.
Delfino – I’m surprised he only had 4 assists, since I thought I saw 5-6 sweet looks from him to his teammates. I’ll give him a pass on his D tonight since the entire team took it off. That said, he was a bright spot on a dim night.
Ford – don’t you wonder if he was saying to himself “okay, critics, I’m not going to try and win it myself. Lets see how this works out.” 25min, 5pts, 5 asts. We could have used the take-it-over-TJ, no?
Graham – another opportunity for him to come in and impress. Make that another lost opportunity.
Humphries – Another perfect night from the field. 6 for 6 for 12 points. Add in 5 boards in 14mins and start stitching his name in the banner to be raised at ACC in 20 years.
Kapono – Hope those blow-bys didn’t hurt his hairstyle. 30% shooting is not good from a shooter, sez me. 4 dimes, though.
Moon – Let me say that I was impressed with his defence for the first time in a while. Like last game he was in his spot and blocking shots (4). Granted, he wasn’t getting back on the leak-out D, but, again, nobody was. What does concern me, again, is his lack of shooting attempts. Yes, we don’t want him shooting long range jumpers and yes he has to attack the hoop, but how much longer can you accept 5-9 shot attempts by your starting forward?
Nesterovic – I think Wilt Chamberlain has been re-born as a white Slovenian. Talking smack to the refs, 15pts, some hustle and some communication on D. When Delfino out rebounds you, though, that’s an issue.
Parker – All you guys as old as me will remember the old turntables. The needle would reach the end of the album, lift up, return to the beginning of the album and repeat. AP is our needle.

After tonight’s game, I’m feeling pretty good about my decision to not renew my season’s tickets. With or without Bosh, there’s something about the Raps this year that strikes me as mediocre at best.
It continually amazes me how, for a team that was supposedly very very deep, we use the injury of one player to excuse our pathetic play. Nobody can point to Garbo’s absence as earth shattering and, sure, Bosh is an all-star, but you know what? You learn defense in high school and street ball: keep your man in front of you and play the ball.
Grow up and do it.
