Bargnani – Another sub 20min game for our future. Pitiful offence, 4 pretty silly fouls and the look like he just wants to come home. Disturbing.
Calderon – Played under control on another night where we needed more. He has his turnovers back under control, but that fire is still out.
Delfino – Well, he was due for another low output night. Thrown into action earlier than normal due to the disappearing act of Jamario, Carlos never really found his rhythm on either side of the ball all night.
Ford – some sweet looks, nothing over the top. Unfortunately, the west coast trip that I thought would help him is almost over and not much has changed. Until he and Jose level off again, this ship will continue to sink.
Humphries – brought hustle early on, but faded away. Some careless shots that he was fortunate to get back, otherwise he was in danger of having me bring out the Kris stick.
Kapono – maybe he read my post in our forums before he took the floor. He got to spots that his teammates could find him and twice he even created his own shot (sorry Leo) by putting it on the floor. Circle this date on your calendar as the date he earned the biggest part of his sickening paycheque this season.
Moon – Mitchell said if you take assignments off, you’ll see the bench. Well, Eclipse and the bench had some getting to know you time in the first half. Typical Jamario laziness got him hooked. Still amazes me that for a guy with such a gift, you rarely even remember he is on the floor.
Nesterovic – Brutal start to the game, but the old timer drank some punch and pulled out the skyhooks and the jumpers to great reward as the game went on. The warhorse even jumped to block a few shots.
Parker – We should nickname this guy Cut & Paste, since he does the same thing every night….and unlike his teammates, this is actually a good thing. How good is this from your guard who played 39min: 11 pts, 6 reb, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. Efficient. Dedicated. Defensive. Why the hell is he a Raptor!?

I never thought I would say this, but thank God for Jason Kapono. If he hadn’t caught fire, that could have been another humiliation ala Denver.
Gotta say, I prefer Delfino’s 8-point nights to the nights when he delivers a big fat 0 points. At least he was trying to get to the bucket, though the foul line shooting continues to be a big problem for him.
I really feel for Parker. How many games straight has he carried them? Dude was running on fumes by the fourth quarter.
“Parker – We should nickname this guy Cut & Paste” lol. awesome man.
ellie, it wasn’t so much kapono that kept us in the game, it was sac turning the ball over every third possession that kept us in the hunt. had it not been for that, they would have won by 14 or 15.

Terrific ‘theme song’!

True, RapsFan, but at least we did a decent job of scoring off those turnovers and/or subsequent plays. Lord knows the way we have been playing, even THAT seems miraculous.

Raps Fan, that’s true they got the possessions on the turnovers, but at points the rest of them couldn’t seem to buy a bucket. Kapono’s precision kept them in the game a lot longer than they deserved based on the defense.
