These are my Toronto Raptors Linkage links for January 24th from 10:40 to 21:49:

  • The rest of the All-Star story – the greater issue in Toronto could be the mental health of power forward Chris Bosh.

A locker-room outburst last week about teammate Jamario Moon and sagging playoff hopes make one wonder if the Raptors might have to make a move in advance of 2010 free agency with Bosh, rather than be left empty-handed.

While Bosh is hopeful of salvaging this season — "We have to do it now or we're going to be watching the first round of the playoffs eating popcorn." — any further lapse could leave Toronto in salvage mode.

  • Low Expectations – Does yesterday's win seem like the start of a winning streak, or does it feel more like we just stopped the bleeding? The realist side of me says the latter, but the dreamer in me can't help but feel and hope that we can finally start something (good) again.
  • Miami Heat trading Marion to have an O’Neal back? – Sure, Jermaine O’Neal is a force inside, that’s during those rare, and these are VERY rare, times that he’s healthy. If healthy, Jermaine will definitely address one of Pat Riley’s biggest needs since trading Shaquille O’Neal, a center he can rely on. Unfortunately for Michael Beasley, he was not the tower of power inside Miami was hoping him to be when they drafted him.
  • JG, AP, CB, AB, JC – Best Lineup v Bulls
  • Raptors Ready To Roll Finally? – I have to admit that Jose Calderon was fantastic last night. He looked healthy as well which is perhaps more important. I would also like to thank Tyrus Thomas for being a bone head. When you are an under achiever and have done next to nothing in the league. It might make sense not to get in the face of a 6 time all star even if he is on the decline. He sparked J.O and this entire Raptor team along with him.
  • So much for tardy
  • JOSE!!!! – Jose made his return, A.P. moved back into the shooting guard slot and J.O was ready to showcase for Pat Riley as the Raps were ready to get revenge on the Bulls last night. And guess what? The Raps didn't blow it. They actually ended their 7 game losing streak, finishing off the Bulls 114-94. The Raps actually fixed some of their mistakes and played some good D. Jose Calderon didn't show any signs of rust.
  • Long-term price for O’Neal deal? – I'm of two minds on this possible trade for Toronto. On the one hand, it's a sign of a good executive to not dwell on mistakes and try to, if possible, get at least something for your troubles. Joe Dumars in Detroit is the king of this: he drafted Darko Milicic when Bosh, Miami's Dwyane Wade and Denver's Carmelo Anthony were available, but he later traded him for a pick that he used to select Rodney Stuckey.

O'Neal hasn't worked out, his absence has made a player out of Andrea Bargnani and, most importantly, the team has other, more pressing holes to fill.

  • Tip-In: Toronto Raptors Post Game – Monkey…removed. – Last night against the Bulls however, things were pretty simple. After a prolonged absence, last night marked the return of Jose Calderon and for the first time in a long time the Raptors had a full roster ready to rock and roll… and rock and roll they did.
