That represents the confirmed pledges so far to be donated to the Team Up Foundation if Patrick O’Bryant reaches 2500 followers on Twitter by end of day October 31.
What do you need to do? Easy. Sign in (or sign up) for Twitter, then click here and, on O’Bryant’s screen, click on “follow”. That’s it. Don’t use twitter? Do it anyway……that 20seconds you spend doing it is worth $8240, no?
I also want to take the time to be clear about one thing: you don’t have to donate. Again, this all happened from a small tweet and a combined pledge of $1000. What all of you have done that have pledged is phenomenal. Those of you have that have retweeted or written articles about this “drive” are incredible. We have turned something that started out as a fun challenge into something massively sensational. We have created a movement for the betterment of society through a donation to a cause that will help those in our community. All for clicking a button.
As of 8:30pm on Monday, Patrick has 1,972 followers. We have 5 days to get 528 more or the efforts and generosity of your fellow Raptors supporters goes to waste. That would be a shame considering the wave of kindness this has created.
Get out there and spread the word. Explain how to get on twitter and follow POB. Tell people how you are trying to help those in need. We must get this done.
Again, I thank everybody for their efforts. I hope you are taking great pride in what you have accomplished thus far. You deserve it.
